Tandoori Chicken with Garlic Cheese Naan

Tandoori comes from the word Tandoor which means Clay oven, and yes you've guessed it Tandoori Chicken is a barbequed chicken from a clay oven!

This dish is normally served on a metal plate with different cavities. one for mint & chilli sauce( must be mixed thoroughly), one for dal, one for shallots, one for lime and cucumber and the center piece is of course the Tandoori Chicken and the Naan.

When you order the Chicken the thigh part is actually the best as it retains much of its juiciness even when barbequed. The meat is still tender but at the same time gives out an aromatic taste due to the marinate and with slight char on the edges, just keeps your saliva dripping!

As for the Naan, there are a variety of naans to choose from, Plain, Garlic, Cheese, Plant (margarine), or even a combination of all the ingredients.

To enjoy the full taste of it, squeeze the lime all over the chicken! Wrapping the chicken and shallots in a small piece of naan, dipped in both dal and the mint sauce will bring you to a taste with a perfect balance of sweetness, sourness, saltiness, spiciness and a hint of bitterness.
